Lucas County Information Services (LCIS) is currently implementing a Web Accessibility Review Group (WARG). WARG’s primary function will be to analyze new Lucas County web developments and quantify content accessibility per the Americans with Disabilities Act and the W3C’s Web Accessibility Initiative. The group will provide a thorough review of new web developments with individual reports containing content accessibility scores and development recommendations.
WARG will be comprised of LCIS staff and volunteer members of various Lucas County agencies with a preference to individuals with disabilities, or who have significant others with disabilities. Involving those with disabilities can help ensure that future web developments meet their special needs.
