Absentee Voter Ballots - Notice to Candidates
ATTENTION CANDIDATES:
|
Absentee Voter Ballots [AVB's] are required to be "ready" 35 days before
the election. This means that whenever practicable, the Lucas County Board
of Elections will be mailing some portion of our absentee ballots ON
THAT DAY. [If for any reason our ballot-printing vendor has not provided
us with the paper ballots by that date, we offer "BALLOT ON DEMAND" to
Lucas County Voters--they come into the office and we print their ballot
style in office for them.]
As a candidate, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CALLING THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS
OFFICE at [419] 213-2039 to determine which precinct AVB ballots will be
mailed "each" day prior to Election Day.
We are unable to "predict" when, how many, and which precinct AVB
ballots will go out on any particular day given the many variables that
enter into this process [number or requests, speed with which we receive
ballots from our printing vendor, etc.]
We apologize for any inconvenience that this process causes you. But
please remember, our first duty is to the VOTER REQUESTING AN ABSENTEE
BALLOT.
